Gosford House - A4 Line Drawing

This drawing features the striking facade of Gosford House, the seat of the Earls of Wemyss and March. Gosford is situated close to Aberlady in East Lothian. I work from sketches that I have made, refining them by focussing on patterns in the cityscape such as rows of chimney pots, turrets and windows. I use a fine line pen to finish my drawings. My sketches often explore local landmarks along the East Lothian coastline.
