Ferns - Greetings Card

Featuring my original Ferns linocut design, this greetings card is reproduced from one of my original hand-carved linocut prints. The card is left blank inside, making it suitable for birthdays, thank you notes, or simply keeping in touch.

This design was inspired by the carpets of ferns that unfurl across our local woodland each spring. I wanted to capture the rich textures and layered foliage, building the print up over four colour layers from the white of the paper to a deep camouflage green. At the time, this was my largest linocut print, with every impression burnished by hand.
