Jolly Robin Christmas Cards - 4 Card Bundle

Taken from an original linocut print, this jolly Robin has been digitally captured and printed on high-quality 300gsm Callisto Extract recycled card. Available individually or in packs of four or eight, the cards come complete with kraft envelopes and are left blank for your own festive message.

With their rusty orangey-red breasts, robins are a cheerful sight during the winter months. This cheerful chap is a reduction print. The print is made up of several layers of colour. I carved into the plate between each layer of the print to add more detail.

Working from sketches, I carve my designs into Lino to form a printing plate. Having applied ink to the surface of the plate with a roller I then burnish the plates by hand. Each design is formed from multiple layers. In between each layer I carve into the printing plate. This enables me to create a detailed and colourful print.
